The Birmingham International Fair is founded in 1976 with two fairs per year (Spring and Autumn),which is the largest retail sourcing trade show in UK,also is the leading Artwork and consumer goods trade show in the world. Autumn Fair start from September 1st to September 4th, traditional European exhibitors in addition to negotiate orders during this period , but also through the communication in show to understand 2014 spring / summer trends and longer-term development trend of the industry . The “European Show for Brands of China” is the only” exhibition in the exhibition ” for Birmingham International Fair of consumer goods ,which is jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and some local governments , focused on promotion excellent brand merchandise across China.
According to introduction of Zhu Yong,the Ministry of Commerce Foreign Trade Division Director ,this exhibition is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and Zhejiang , Fujian Provincial Government jointly. a total of 133 outstanding enterprises attend the exhibition, among which 11 enterprise had participated in the previous years , the majority of enterprises in this exhibition are new faces.
In 11 exhibition area , the Chinese enterprises are mainly concentrated in the 5th district, exhibits covering kitchenware, household products , textiles and garments , bags, toys, gifts , stationery, gardening supplies and small household appliances .
What is remarkable is that there are four companies from Tibet attend the show at the first time . Zhou Hui , deputy director of the Tibet Autonomous Region Department of Commerce , told reporters said that four companies are charming in their respective industries , including the brand “Excellent·Minba” , which produce Tibetan incense with more than 300 years of craft tradition and open special stores in Spain and Netherlands at the time ; wool handmade carpets brand ” Gyan “; yak leather goods brand ” Asian tapestry ” and cashmere products ” Jin Hada ” ,which has a certain reputation and unique product advantages at international market. Their cashmere products are in high demand as they have a strong competitive edge at quality,technology,design and price.
